Does this work with scanned PDFs?
No, this tool extracts embedded text content. Scanned PDFs that contain only images will not produce any text. You would need OCR software for those.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No, all processing happens entirely in your browser. Your file never leaves your device.
What do page separators do?
When enabled, a line like '--- Page 1 ---' is inserted between each page's text so you can tell where one page ends and the next begins.
